Passing the baton of Nexans autoelectric senior management after almost three decades: Gregor Spuhler succeeds Andreas Wolf

Floß, 03 June 2024.  After 28 years at the helm of the company, Managing Director Andreas Wolf is handing over the management of Nexans autoelectric GmbH to Gregor Spuhler – and with it the responsibility for the entire group of companies with some 15,000 employees worldwide.

During Andreas Wolf's tenure, the company has increased sales from 65 million euros in 1996 to 751 million euros last year, expanded its global presence, and launched new business areas.

65-year-old Andreas Wolf initiated the change of senior management a few months ago by gradually handing over responsibilities to his successor, who has been with the company for 13 years. “In recent years, Gregor Spuhler has gained extensive experience in various positions of responsibility – since 2020 as COO of the Group – and has a deep understanding of the corporate structure and strategic necessities for the continued success of the company."
51-year-old Gregor Spuhler, who lives with his wife and four children in the district of Tirschenreuth, is looking forward to his new role with excitement and positivity: “I look forward to continuing the successful work of the past 28 years together with an experienced and motivated team, leading the company with strength into the next decade, and setting new trends.”

Nexans autoelectric equips fuel and electrically powered vehicles worldwide with electrical components, cable harnesses, and wiring systems. For the current financial year, the group of companies – with some 15,000 employees on four continents – expects sales of around 800 million euros.
